AeroPress Brewing Guide

This compact brewer delivers a bold, rounded cup with low acidity, great for travel or an easy home routine. We use the inverted method for more control and depth.

Equipment

  • AeroPress

  • Filter (paper or metal disc)

  • Grinder

  • Kettle

  • Scales

  • Timer

Recipe

  • Coffee: 12 g (medium grind – like caster sugar)

  • Water: 200 g

  • Brew time: 2:20–2:30

  • Water temp: 93–96°C

Steps

  1. Prep and rinse the filter.

  2. Set up your AeroPress inverted (plunger at the bottom).

  3. Add 12 g of ground coffee and level it.

  4. Tare your scale and pour 200 g of water.

  5. Stir 5 times, attach the cap, and wait.

  6. At 1:45, carefully flip the AeroPress onto your cup.

  7. At 2:00, press gently over 20–30 seconds, stopping when you hear the hiss.

Notes

  • Too hard to press? Grind coarser.

  • Too easy? Grind finer.
