Steps

Prep and heat water to ~97°C.

Fold and insert the filter, thick side over the spout.

Rinse the filter thoroughly and discard the rinse water.

Add 30 g of coffee and level the bed.

Tare your scale and start your timer.

Bloom with 60 g of water. Wait 30 seconds.

At 0:30, pour 250 g more.

At 1:00, pour the final 190 g to reach 500 g.

Gently swirl the Chemex and let it finish dripping by 4:30.
